Gallery Subz & Special Thank Yew <3

I ended up deciding to publish the November gallery early in case I wasn’t receiving anyone’s submissions, they could let me know if it wasn’t posted. I want to give a special thank you to Juliana, Anon, Tyler, and Sofia. Your interpretations of of self portrait were breathtaking. Seeing versions of women I have known for years from a different perspective was so spectacular!

I saw an atmosphere of peace, void of hard shadows or blinding digital highlights, a martini glass coyly grinning because it is secretly half full. I remembered I was womb, carry a womb, and though we are separated in space, we are connected by blood and earth. A self portrait can reveal what we feel but not show or say. The feeling of disconnectedness can be best shown and released through creation in my opinion, scars and all. From my bed fort, nest of blankets and all, I was transported to be laying under an ink tree. Surrounded by messages of love and art.
